PAT 7102 Human Behavior - Fall 2019       2-2 hrs.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Spring Semester of the Physician Assistant program or permission of PA Program Director. This course is designed to (1) illustrate the basic principles of behavioral science and human behavior and (2) introduce the student to the psychosocial and developmental aspects of illness and disability in relation to healthcare. The student will be introduced to developmental (life stages) and cultural influences on physical illness, injury/recovery, and life events. The student will be introduced to the processes involved in the patient-client relationship and knowledge regarding the "human factor" in patient outcome.
