MIRS 3803 Ultrasound Physics and Instrumentation I - Spring 2024       3-3 hrs.

Prerequisites: By permission. This introductory course includes ultrasonic wave generation and propagation, interaction of ultrasound and matter, transducer and instrumentation designs, ultrasound scanning modes, image artifacts, image quality, Doppler effect, Doppler instrumentation components and related calculations.
