SURG 9760 Surgery Clerkship - Spring 2014       298-320 hrs.

Prerequisites: Promotion to year 3 in program. An eight-week inpatient and outpatient experience to acquaint the student with diseases commonly treated by surgical or other invasive procedures, including emergency and elective situations. In addition to diagnostic evaluation, students will learn principles of post- operative care, empathic patient and family interactions, common manual skills, and basic surgical principles.
