MIRS 3511 Patient Support and Volunteer Engagement - Spring 2019       1-1 hrs.

Prerequisites: By permission. May be repeated; maximum credit 4 hours. This course explores the importance of empathy, patient support, and community engagement in healthcare. Students analyze empathetic patient care, examine the role of social work and volunteer services, and reflect on how participation in support groups and volunteer experiences shapes professional growth as compassionate, patient-centered healthcare workers.
