PHARMD 8191 Special Subjects in Pharmacology and Therapeutics - Summer I 2017       1-1 hrs.

Prerequisites: By permission. This course focuses on applied therapeutics of agents encountered in dental practice, building on pharmacologic principles. Topics include evidence-based management of acute dental pain; safe opioid and non-opioid prescribing; special populations; peri-procedural medication management; adverse drug events; substance use; and interprofessional collaboration to optimize patient outcomes in clinical care settings.
