FM 9540 Family Medicine Clerkship - Spring 2017       155-160 hrs.

Prerequisites: Promotion to year 3 in program An ambulatory Family Medicine experience supervised by departmental faculty, resident physicians and community volunteer faculty physicians where students learn diagnosis and management of undifferentiated complaints, acute, and chronic illnesses. Health promotion, disease prevention, longitudinal care, focused patient evaluation, clinical decision-making, practice management and evidence based medicine are emphasized during didactics. (Fall, Spring & Summer, III)
