Assistive Technology Loan Program
The purpose of the Assistive Technology Loan Program is to assist Oklahoma public
schools in addressing the assistive technology requirements of the Individuals with
Disabilities Education Act by increasing availability and accessibility of assistive
technology devices to the schools for preview and assessment purposes through the
development of an assistive technology device loan program. The equipment is available
for loan to special educators, related service providers, and assistive technology
team members who serve special education students in Oklahoma public schools. The
equipment is for short-term loan purposes only. This limits its use to student assessment,
field test, or classroom preview. The equipment is not intended to be utilized as
dedicated equipment for individual students. The equipment is loaned for a period
of up to four (4) weeks.
