Password complexity requirements 
  • The password does not contain all or part of the user's account name.
  • The password is at least 8 characters long and not more than 20 characters long.
  • The password is not a dictionary word.
  • The password must contain characters from each of the following four categories:
    • English uppercase characters (A - Z)
    • English lowercase characters (a - z)
    • Base 10 digits (0 - 9)
    • Non-alphanumeric (For example: !, $, #, or %)
  • iRIS Users: Do not use passwords that contain asterisks, quotes, commas, slashes, dashes, greater than or less than (i.e., (*),("),('),(,),(/) (-), (>) or (<)).
These complexity requirements are enforced upon password change or creation of new passwords.
